Working With Us

Working with Heels Angels is pretty easy.  We like to meet Pets and Owners before we get started to ensure that we're a fit for you and you're a fit for us.  From there, we have a contract that you'll sign and we'll agree the services and dates / times that you require those services to be provided.

For your own peace of mind, we've outlined our policy on the wellbeing of the pets in care below:

I take the wellbeing of the animals in my care very seriously which is why I’ve set out these guidelines. These guidelines will help ensure the best experience for your pet.

  • All animals will be assessed for suitability for hosting, minding, or training services prior to your booking being accepted.
  • Some animals with special requirements may be accepted by prior arrangement with Heels Angels.
  • If your animal shows extreme aggression to other animals or people, they will not be admitted for hosting, minding or any training services. We will refer you to our preferred behavioural trainers for specialised advice.
  • If your animal shows any signs of illness or injury, they will not be accepted for any service.
  • Any illness or injury arising during service delivery that requires veterinary treatment will be at the owner’s expense.
  • Animals admitted for hosting will not be exercised or socialised together with animals not from the same family.

What Do You Need To Provide?

There's very little you need to provide and we'll talk about any specifics for your pet when we meet.  The most important thing you need to ensure is that your pet is vaccinated - for your pet's protection.

Pet Vaccination

Proof of vaccination of all domestic animals is required prior to being admitted for any service or training.

Dogs: C5 minimum. However, a triannual with annual Canine Cough vaccine is acceptable, as is a recent Titre Test which shows appropriate immunity levels.

Cats: C3 minimum, F4 is preferable.

All domestic animals must be over 4 months old and have completed their initial vaccination protocols.

All domestic animals must be on appropriate flea, tick, and worming schedules. Hosted animals must be desexed unless otherwise negotiated prior to check in.

For Your Pets Comfort

You might want to bring a couple of other things depending on your pet but you don't have to, your pet will receive great care when they're with us.

Bedding and Toys

We provide bedding for all pets staying with us, however, you are welcome to bring your pet's blanket , bed, crate etc.  You may also want to bring pet's favourite toy and/or anything you think may help them settle .

Fussy Eaters

All meals are provided by Heels Angels.  However, should you wish your pet to have their regular diet to avoid any upset tummies, please bring that along and we'll use it. There is no extra charge for a special diet.

Medication

If your pet needs basic medication, we are happy to administer it. Please bring your medication labelled with clear instructions.
